Lisa “Bad News” Brown announced today, through her manager Mike Schmidt of Jensen Strauss Boxing Limited, that “Bad News” will be attending the WBA Convention this month in Nicaragua where she will be honoured at the awards banquet.

Schmidt also announced that purse negotiations where being initiated for WBA Champion Brown’s mandatory defence against number one ranked and undefeated Yesica Marcos (15-0). Schmidt commented: “The only other undefeated fighter in the top ten is Melinda Cooper and that is still a fight we hope to make down the line. Melinda and Yesica are special fighters and Lisa, having fought the best all over the world, at this stage of her career needs those big challenges. Read More
