The Fight Network is set to broadcast Wild Card Promotions “Barrie Brawl” that took place on February 4th at the Molson Centre in Barrie, Ontario. The card was headlined by unbeaten Canadian Heavyweight Champion Neven “No Surrender” Pajkic of Toronto in a dramatic 10 rounder against Louisiana’s “Lethal” Johnnie White.
The evenings World Championship co-feature was a sizzling rematch between female pugilists. Champion “Lethal” Lindsay Garbatt of Oshawa, Ontario made the first defense of her World Title against former multi time champion Jelena Mrdjenovich of Edmonton, Alberta in a 10 round super featherweight rematch in a bout that many thought was fight of the night.
Another eagerly anticipated Heavyweight bout was between two giants; 6’7 ”Mount Kilimanjaro” Bola Raymond Olubowale and 6’8 Tye “Big Sky” Fields in a scheduled 8 round grudge match.
All the action begins at 9pm est on Saturday, March 26th on The Fight Network.

2011 Shaw Boxing Evening Now in it’s 26th Year
Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, March 25, 2011. The sound of the boxing bell will once again draw crowds to the Canadian Room at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York when Shaw Festival Board of Governors Chair Gary M. Comerford and Shaw Festival Boxing Evening Chair Robert C. Olsen welcome the boxing-world elite to the Shaw Boxing Evening on Tuesday, March 29, 2011. The Shaw Boxing Card, organized by Jim Gentle, is as follows:
- An opening bout for the Bagnato Cup pitting pro newcomer and Toronto’s own Ibrahim “Firearm” Kamal (1-0-0) against Revlon Lake (4-5-2) of Guyana in a four-round Lightweight Match. Firearm Kamal, a five-time Canadian senior amateur champion, debuted professionally with a 2nd round TKO. Read More

Canadian Boxing Federation middleweight and former super middleweight champion Adam Trupish (8-0-0) will be looking to take his career to the next level on Tuesday, March 29, at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto, Ontario. The CBF champ will be taking on Brazil’s Rogerio Pereira (16-1-0) for the latter’s North American Boxing Association (NABA) light middleweight title. Pereira won the NABA crown last September by defeating champion Carson Jones (26-7-2) of Oklahoma City via split decision. Pereira comes into this fight with limited experience against top tier opposition, having fought only six boxers with more than one fight of experience in his seventeen fight career. Trupish, on the other hand, has fought in two Olympic Games and defeated several solid veterans in his short eight fight campaign including Michael Walchuk (8-1-0), Larry Sharpe (25-8-0) and American journeyman Etianne Whitaker (33-32-6).
