“The Canadian Kid” Steve Molitor lost a unanimous decision to Takalani “The Panther” Ndlovu moments ago in South Africa. The official scores were 118-110 / 118-110 and 116-112. This was the third meeting between Molitor and Ndlovu with Molitor winning the first 2 bouts, one by knockout and the other by unanimous decision. more to come….

The Boxing Examiner has just learned that Ibrahim Kamal will not be appearing on the annual Shaw Festival boxing event this Tuesday March 29, 2011, as reported yesterday.

According to Gary Freedman, Kamal’s promoter, “we tried very hard to keep Ibrahim on this fight card, however, the truth is that no one in Canada is willing to fight him, regardless of level of boxing experience.”

Originally scheduled to fight James Carpio (1-1), Carpio pulled out of the fight after losing to Michael Gadbois in Montreal in February.

Freedman stated, “Carpio signed a contract with the Shaw Festival but he had second thoughts about fighting Ibrahim after he lost to Gadbois, who is not in the same league as Ibrahim. Unfortunately, his final decision to pull out only came a couple of weeks ago and that left us very little time to get a replacement. Every single fighter approached in Canada, and a lot of guys in the U.S. turned down the fight.” Read More
