On July 15, 2011, in Chicago, Illinois, the Border City Boxing Club’s “Gorgeous” Andre Gorges will fight Ghana’s Albert “Tornado” Mensah (23-3-1 10KO’S) for the IBF International Light-Welterweight Title.
Gorges (11-1 6KO’s) is the current NABF Welterweight Champion who looks to move to his natural Light-Welterweight weight class to face Mensah the current World Professional Boxing Federation Light-Welterweight and WBA Pan African Light-Welterweight Champion. The winner of the bout will earn a shot at the winner of the July 23 bout between IBF Light-Welterweight World Champion Zab Judah and challenger Amir Khan.
