BREAKING GROUND – NABA Canadian Championship & Many exciting bouts
Victory Boxing Promotions in association with Jensen Strauss Boxing & Casino New Brunswick present “Breaking Ground” on Nov 25, 2011 at 7:30 PM at Casino NB. This will be a 7 to 9 bout professional boxing card with the main event of the evening being contested for the NABA Canadian Middleweight Championship. In the final bout of the evening you will see Paul Clavette of Grand Falls, NB now fighting out on Montreal, QC with a record of 15-2-1 taking on Stephan Boyd from Toronto, ON with a record of 10-3-1. This will be a rematch from 2 ½ years ago that ended in a very close split decision victory for Clavette.

Also returning on this card will be former Canadian Cruiserweight Champion Frank “The Hammer” White of Sarnia, ON. He’ll be looking to bounce back here in Moncton after losing his bid for another Canadian Championship on Sept 10th at Casino Carnage by split decision. There will be a number of Maritime fighters participating in this amazing event as well. Marcel “Little Magic” Maillet will be looking to reverse his fortunes from his pro debut when he faces rough and tough Chris Aucoin of Brantford, ON. Jamie “TNT” Taylor from Emyvale, PEI will be looking to make a successful homecoming while facing Aucoin’s younger brother Dave Aucoin also of Brantford. Brandon Brewer of Fredericton, NB will be looking to continue his winning ways when he locks horns with yet another Brantfon boxer in “Dynamite” Darren Fletcher. Making his pro boxing debut on this show will be MMA standout fighter Steve Rogers from Summerside, PEI. Rogers was the Elite 1 Welterweight Champion when he retired from MMA to throw his hat into the pro boxing ranks. Steve Wilcox of Hamilton, ON will be making his pro debut on the card after winning multiple Canadian Championships during his amateur career. You will be seeing all these amazing bouts, talents, and many more action packed matches. There will also be a tribute to the late legendary boxing personality Mr. Bob Edgett of Sackville, NB whom we’ve recently lost due to illness on Sept 20th, 2011.

The official event’s press conference will be held at Casino New Brunswick in the Lighthouse Lounge on Monday Oct 10th at 6 PM. Followed by a public training session with Paul Clavette at FISTS Boxing Club. Tickets for this event will go on sale Friday Oct 14th at casinonb.ca or at the casino’s rewards center.
