Dear Potential Sponsors and Supporters,

The Steeltown Boxing Club has been in operation for the past 13 years within the Hamilton community. Our club has produced many Canadian national champions, provincial champions and Ringside world champions.   We are particularly proud to say we have recently partnered with the World Boxing Association (WBA) as the first official WBA Boxing Academy in Canada.

On March 10th, 2012 the WBA KO Drugs Campaign/Steeltown Boxing Club will host a show dedicated to the memory of Robbie Wilcox, the son of Steeltown’s owner and head coach Bob Wilcox who lost his battle to cancer at a very young age. In honour of Robbie the proceeds raised from this event will go to the childhood Cancer Camp “Camp Trillium.”

The Trillium Childhood Cancer Support Centre offers and promotes recreational experiences to bring children with cancer and their families together. It provides an environment that normalizes relationships and experiences, helps children and their families in the healing process and enhances their quality of life.

The reason I am contacting you is to ask for your support.  Whether it’s a financial contribution or an in-kind donation of prizes for the silent auction, we would sincerely appreciate anything you can offer. All donations will be recognized at the event based on your level of support so please take a moment to read the following pages to see how you can get involved.

We are very proud of our athletes, volunteers and coaches, who teach and promote a healthy lifestyle and a respect for everyday life skills, but more so we are excited for an inspiring evening where we can all come together in the name of a meaningful cause. Read More
