Last night at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York Amanda Serrano (5-0-1, 3KO’s) of Brooklyn, New York won a controversial 6 round 59-54, 58-56 and 58-56 unanimous decision against Montreal’s Lucia Larcinese (4-5). To many in attendance the judge’s scores did not accurately reflect the fight’s action. This sentiment was shared by some in press row as well as some of the ringside officials and more importantly the fans in attendance.

In the opening round the southpaw Serrano came out very strong taking the fight straight to Larcinese catching her with flush power shots right on the chin however Larcinese took the punches well and did not wilt under the aggressive pressure of Serrano.
