Toronto’s Stephan Boyd captured the vacant NABA Canada Middleweight title by stopping Montreal’s Paul Clavette in the 5th round tonight in Moncton, New Brunswick. Clavette was down twice in the 3rd round and again in the 5th in a bout that was controlled from the start by Boyd.

Trois-Rivières sensation Mikael Zewski (11-0-0) destroyed Keuntray Henson (4-3-0) in less than a round Saturday night in New York City. Zewski showed some of the extraordinary skills that led boxing giant Top Rank to add him to their stable. He even shocked himself with his speedy victory. “I was expecting the fight to go a couple rounds,” said Zewski. “Henson was coming off a first round knockout victory over a guy who was 8-2-0.”

“Henson came out pretty strong at the beginning of the first,” explained Zewski. The Trois-Rivières fighter’s quick left hand, however, quickly turned the fight in his favor.
